My Experience
I currently work as a Senior Product Designer at MGM Resorts, where I lead conversational design for MGM’s AI chatbot, offering concierge services for hotel guests at 20 properties, and increasing chat containment by 97%.
Previously, I was a Senior UX/UI Designer at 7-Eleven Digital, where I led the end-to-end design for an enterprise web app, enabling pricing analysts to increase profitability at more than 10,000 stores.
Prior to that, I worked as a UX/UI Designer for various startups, agencies, and companies across multiple industries, from entertainment to healthcare.
I’ve facilitated design thinking workshops; led research and design projects for web and mobile platforms; created, managed, and scaled design systems; collaborated with cross-functional teams, and mentored junior designers.
Why UX Design
I’m a self-taught designer, with a background in visual design and film direction. I discovered UX in 2015, while attending a Design Thinking course at UCLA Extension. I loved the strategic approach to solving complex problems, and felt particularly inspired by Jared Spool’s talk on “The Evolution of a New Design Revolution.” My big picture thinking, eye for detail, and deep empathy for people – all found a home in UX. I value designing for positive impact, bringing a beginner’s mind to every project, and being a life-long learner.
Outside of Work
When I’m not designing, I like to stay creative by painting and writing. I explore themes of personal and social change, with a focus on mental health. I recently painted a residential mural, on a 14’ staircase wall.
